For it is by the grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no man can boast.

It is the vision of First Baptist Church of Los Fresnos to bring glory to God through missions and ministry to our multi-ethnic body of Believers, community, and word as modeled by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. |

Our Mission |
Recognizing the cultural diversity of our surrounding community, our Mission is focused on and driven from Matthew 28:19 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations."
We design our ministries and programs to maximize the discipleship process in our community, both English and Spanish speaking. Our focus is to reach the English speaking population, especially young Hispanic families.
We evangelize and disciple people. We minister to people in the name of Jesus Christ. We encourage fellowship with other Believers. We promote worship with adoration and praise to the Lord.

Our Core Values

We're God-Centered. We believe that God is the head of our church and we belong to him. Our aspiration in everything we do is to glorify God, His son Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit.
We believe God exists as one Being with three distinct personas: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible is God's Holy Word. We believe it is divinely inspired and provides direction and purpose for our daily lives.
We believe the Bible has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth - mithout any mixture of error -for its matter.
We encourage individual Bible study and challenge our congregation to think deeply and intelligently about the Bible, and its history and message.

We believe in Salvation by grace through faith. We believe that humanity is sinful by both nature and choice, and that as a result of our sin, mankind is totally estranged from God. We believe that no one can reconcile themselves to God - it is only by God's grace that we are saved.
We believe that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and was sacrificed on a cross for the sins of mankind. We believe that only Jesus' sacrifice was enough to cleanse the sins of humanity.
We believe that after three days in the tomb, Jesus rose from the dead and physically ascended into Heaven.
We believe our Lord Jesus Christ lives today, and will return to Earth at a future date to judge the world.
We are focused on Outreach and committed to Stewardship.
We believe the salvation through Jesus' sacrifice was offered freely for all to accept. We believe, therefore, in reaching those who have not yet heard and received God's saving grace.
We believe we as believers are called to serve our Lord through the sharing of our gifts, talents, time and personal resources.
We are family-focused and strongly support the sanctity of life.
We believe God created the institution of marriage as the holy union of one man and one woman. Our goal, therefore, is to enable families to live righteously, lovingly, and justly with each other.
We believe we are commanded in scripture to uphold and defend the sacredness and dignity of human life, both born and unborn. We believe that all human life is created by God, from conception to natural death, and is therefore precious.
We worship joyfully, pray actively, and train up the next generation.
We believe in the joy that comes with God's saving grace, and the transformative power His love has on our lives. We worship in song, in prayer, in confession and repentence, by studying His Word, and by fellowship with each other.
We believe prayer is the channel through which we communicate with God. It is through prayer that we develop a personal relationship with God and discover His will and direction for our lives.
We believe more mature Christians should mentor younger believers and help them to grow spiritually. We encourage all Believers to seek opportunities to grow their faith.
